Abstract

Psoriatic arthritis (PsA) is a chronic inflammatory arthritis that characteristically occurs in individuals with psoriasis. The prevalence of PsA is approximately 5 to 8% among individuals with psoriasis. Many diseases are linked with membranous glomerulonephritis (MGN). About one-third of adult MGN cases occur in association with malignancy, drug therapy with gold or penicillamine, infections such as hepatitis B, or autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and rheumatoid arthritis. However, the association of MGN with PsA is very rare. We report a rare case of MGN associated with PsA in a 35-year-old man who presented with massive proteinuria, active arthritis of the knee, and active psoriasis on both lower extremities.
